To access the export settings, click the Export Tab in the GUI. From here you can set up the way Knald exports the created map and change the settings to suit your specific needs.
The Export Tab IMAGE
Global Export: Changing these settings will cause the selected file type or bit depth to propagate across to all map types, overwriting their default values.
File Format Dropdown: The file format to which the selected map will save.
Bit depth Dropdown: The bit depth to which the selected map will save.
Panorama: This check box allows you to choose if you would rather export the Normal/Derivative maps in their pre or post integrated states.
Sphere Map: This check box allows you to choose if you would rather export the Normal/Derivative maps in their pre or post integrated states.
Cube Map: This check box allows you to choose if you would rather export the Normal/Derivative maps in their pre or post integrated states.
Export Map Types:
Export SH Irradiance coefficients as [File Type Dropdown] FP16: Check this to export Irradiance as spherical harmonics coefficients along with a .ash text file that contains their associated triplets. The resulting spherical harmonic expansion should be sampled in the same space as the cube map, assuming one is exported.
When sampling the spherical harmonic expansion the result is a linear space color. Exports are 9 coefficients per channel (Red, Green and Blue).
File Type Dropdown: The image type to which the spherical harmonics coefficients will save. Export is restricted to floating point 16 as the spherical harmonics coefficients are not bounded in either negative or positive values.
You can save as the following file types:
Export cube maps with [Layout Dropdown] layout: This option changes the layout of the exported cube map. You can choose to match the source image or convert to a vertical or horizontal cross.
Layout Dropdown Options:
Export Path Path: The file path to which the selected maps will save. By default the images will save to the Exports folder in the Lys install directory.
Toggle Global Resolution Automation: Check this to toggle the Global Resolution Automation. When using this option Lys will calculate the best possible dimensions for the exported images by using a pixel density based resolution match based upon the size of the imported or generated image.
When activated you can override the automatically chosen resolutions on a per map basis by checking or unchecking the individual map types and then changing their sizes using the spin boxes.

Radiance: Check this to use the recommended export resolution for this image. When using this option Lys will calculate the best possible dimensions for the exported images by using a pixel density based resolution match based upon the size of the imported or generated image.
Irradiance: Check this to use the recommended export resolution for this image. When using this option Lys will calculate the best possible dimensions for the exported images by using a pixel density based resolution match based upon the size of the imported or generated image.
Specular: Check this to use the recommended export resolution for this image. When using this option Lys will calculate the best possible dimensions for the exported images by using a pixel density based resolution match based upon the size of the imported or generated image.
