Clean Driver Installation

Installing new drivers

On some occasions errors within Knald or Lys are due to cached shaders that the driver hasn't compiled correctly or are corrupted in some way. Whenever you install a new driver we always recommend that you perform a clean installation and delete any cached shaders if they are present on your system.

Performing a Clean Installation of the driver

  1. Download the latest NVIDIA and start the installation process.
  2. In the Installation options choose “Custom (Advanced)” rather than the default “Express (Recommended)”.
  3. In the proceeding window check the “Perform a clean installation” box and then press the “Next” button.
  4. Reboot once the installation has been completed.
